This is the first automatic Bettél ever built: a Swiss movement found in an antique shop, written off because nobody believed it would run again. We fixed it and built it into a wooden case — the first of our automatics. Every movement since arrives new.
The first Bettél watches were drawn in pencil on an aeroplane, on the long flight home from Indonesia. From those pages came a family-run workshop in Muizenberg — and every watch we have made since.
Bettél is sold at Shop F34, the Watershed, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town — open seven days. Further afield, we ship free, worldwide, and in-stock pieces leave the workshop within two working days.
